Selecting Files and Directories

In order to perform certain operations such as copy, move, and delete, files must first be selected.

An individual file or directory can be selected by highlighting it and pressing the Insert key. When a file has been successfully selected, the filename and all other information on that row will change colour.
Groups of files can be selected by pressing the plus (+) key. The group select function operates in both wildcard and regular expression modes.

If you have selected a file in error, it can be deselected.

An individual file or directory that is currently selected can be deselected by highlighting it and pressing the Insert key. When a file has been deselected, the file name and all other information on that row will return to its original colour and will not be included in the next operation.
Groups of files can be deselected by pressing the Minus (-) key. The group deselect function operates in both wildcard and regular expression modes.
(Note - for keyboards with more than one plus or minus key such as US keyboards, either plus or minus key will work)

To select every file and directory in a location except for a certain group of files, the current selection can be toggled. This will invert the current selection. This function can also be used to select all the files and directories in a single location (if none are currently selected), or deselect all the files (if all are currently selected).

To invert the current selection, press the asterisk (*) key.
